We get asked this question a lot.  It is a little bit of both.  It is quite flattering to have people admire our work and think they are gallery paintings when in fact they are actual photographs taken at our studio with real backgrounds and props and yes, with “real people”.  The scenes are so realistic, the apparel so detailed, the expressions so natural that most people find it hard to believe they are indeed photographs.  It is not uncommon to hear our clients having the following experience:
